Fuji DL-10 (1986)

Fuji DL-10 (1986)
#346
This photo is from the copy I own

History and technical features

I bought this camera last year because it was very cheap and also because it looked like the ones my parents used to give me when I was a little girl, back in the 80’s! Fuji DL-10 are compact 35mm cameras, sold around 1986 and this particular one was bought in 1987 (the previous owner wrote it on the box).
It is the model which first adopts drop-in loading system, making film loading easy! It has a fixed focus system and a built-in flash, which I wasn’t able to test. For the flash to work, the camera needs a power source of 2 batteries (manganese penlight batteries).
It has a built-on lens cover and the shutter automatically locks when lens cover is closed, so you don’t have to worry about that.

Overall it’s a nice camera, and because it is so simple and small, it’s a good camera for all the Lomographers out there who like to travel light or for the ones who are just starting to get into photography.

Fuji DL-900 Zoom Date (1990)

Fuji DL-900 Zoom Date (1990)
#229
Esta fotografia é do exemplar que possuo

Características

The DL-900 Zoom is a 35mm autofocus compact cameras from Fuji released in 1990. It is also known as the Discovery 900 Zoom Date, Zoom Cardia 900 Date and the FZ-900 Zoom Date. Versions without date were also offered as the Discovery 900 Zoom and the FZ-900 Zoom.

Fonte: camera-wiki.org

At the Photokina 1990, the DL-900 is the high end of the brand, to succeed the DL-800. It has a 38-85mm zoom, the film pre-winding (which it owes the letters DL in its name), a multi-beam autofocus, an anti red-eye device. Its minimum distance of focusing is 75cm whatever the focal length; it allows photography of documents almost in A4 size.

The DL-900 will evolve shortly after its release in DL-900 Plus. On this model a small set of cards comes with the camera and just put in a so-seemed accessory shoe with probes recognizing the cards. These last ones allow to program complementary the camera for specific situations (fill-in function for example).

Fujifilm Zoom Date F2.8 (2003)

Fujifilm Zoom Date F2.8 (2003)

Câmara gentilmente cedida por Isabel Alber

Características

The Fujifilm Silvi F2.8 is a 35mm autofocus compact camera released in 2003. In some regions it is also known as the Fujifilm Zoom Date F2.8. It belong in a series of other Silvi cameras by Fujifilm.
It features a Super EBC Fujinon 24 to 50mm zoom lens with an aperture of f2.8 to 5.6. It has a minimum focus distance of 35cm. Upon loading the film; the camera pre-winds the film to the take up reel. The LCD will count down the number of frames remaining. Since each exposed frame goes back into the film canister after exposure, photos will not be lost if the camera back is accidentally opened.
Interesting features include dual shutter release buttons on top of the camera; one on the left side another on the right. This makes it easier to shoot self portraits with the right hand. Left handed people may prefer to shoot with the left shutter and use the right shutter for self portraits. Included is a self portrait mode with a indicator to aid in composing and framing.
A limited production Black Edition of the camera only available in Japan has the additional feature of exposure compensation. It can be adjusted ± 2EV in 0.5EV steps.
